Lantern Capital commenced in February 2015. It was recognised as Commercial Broker of the Year in its inaugural year in 2015/16, by its Aggregator, Vow Financial Pty Ltd.

Lantern Capital is a multi-faceted provider of credit and banking services, predominantly in the commercial banking and finance sector. We can provide services or roles in a debt advisory, fee-for-service or finance broking capacity.

Off the back of our experience and the ever-changing commercial lending landscape and financial system, Lantern Capital evolved to connect the needs and manage the expectations of commercial enterprises and high-net worth individuals with the financial system.

The company feels strongly that Australian business needs support interacting with the Australian Banking and Financial system given the underinvestment occurring within, including expertise, reliability and relationship banking models.

The commercial banking space seems increasingly unpredictable and sensitive too macro-economic and many other factors outside our control. Appetite and tolerance of customer and credit risk can change quickly. There always seems to be additional layers of complexity built into the relationship models of the banks. We can assist business in coping and adapting to change within the system and navigating through the complexity.

In forever changing landscapes within the banking system we believe that there is one thing that can never be replaced…relationships. Commercial lending relationships are complex with multiple products, services and customer’s needs are forever evolving. Constant and long-term relationships are critical.

We feel the banking system is attempting to make commercial banking autonomous at the expense of the client’s desire to have a long-term relationship. Lantern Capital’s philosophy is to share with our clients the responsibility of the relationship with the banking system and use our experience and expertise to drive successful outcomes.
